Saco River Adventures

There are countless ways to spend a day on (or near) the Saco River. We’ve picked our favorites to help you make the most of your time in the Valley.

The gentle current of the Saco River starts in the White Mountains and ends in the Atlantic Ocean by way of beautiful New Hampshire and Maine wilderness. You can float down the river in a tube or raft with a group of friends, choose to kayak or canoe, or those daring enough can even opt for a paddleboard trip.

If you’re interested in a Saco River-adventure we recommend checking in with local experts to get a lay of the land and to rent the right equipment. They’ll also be able to help you with transportation to/from the river if you leave your car at one end!
