Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival
Tenessee Williams wrote two of his most famous works while summering in Provincetown: "The Glass Menagerie" and "A Streetcar Named Desire." The annual festival is a tribute to his work and his connection to the town.

The 2019 Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival will present works by Williams and by Japanese playwright Yukio Mishima. Williams and Mishima became friends in the late 1950s and wrote plays that explored the ways in which their worlds were affected by the social revolution of the 1960s. The 14th annual festival will feature four plays by each writer, including one world premiere from each. For more information and to buy tickets to the performances, visit the festival's website.
