Mt. Washington Valley Hiking

There's virtually no better way to explore what Mother Nature has to offer in the Mount Washington Valley than hiking (except maybe skiing).

Red Jacket Mountain View Resort has its own on-site hiking trails, adequate for adventurers of any age or type. If you'd rather get off the property, here are a few great areas to check out:

  • Black Cap Trail
  • Echo Lake Trail
  • Diana's Baths (pictured above)
  • Moat Mountain Trail

And if you're willing to take a bit of a drive, about an hour from our resort is one of New Hampshire best family hikes at Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge. OutdoorProject.com highlights that, "Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge offers something for the whole family, and it is great for beginners and bird watchers. Venture out on the trails for a chance to see deer, moose, bear, beavers, snowshoe hares, turtles, and over 200 species of birds. Most of the trails are flat and easy, and the Mud Pond Trail is even wheelchair accessible, making this a fantastic place for people of all ages and abilities."
