What does it take to be named the best of the best by the prestigious wedding publication The Knot? One might say location, and that does help. The Red Jacket Resorts Cape Cod have that down with their beachfront venues, beautiful, classic New England buildings and breathtaking scenery.
But they’ve got much more. What catapulted them to the top of the list, as rated by millions of readers, surely is the combination of location, personal service and the way the resorts truly offer something for everyone.
“We are so honored to be recognized with this award,” said Hannah Menard, event sales manager at Red Jacket Resorts Cape Cod, about being named a 2018 winner in The Knot Best of Weddings, an award representing the highest-rated wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples, their families and wedding guests on The Knot, the leading online wedding brand and app. This year, only 3 percent of the approximately 300,000 local wedding professionals listed on TheKnot.com received this accolade.
“Everyone at the resort works so diligently to make our weddings a success; it is truly a team effort. From our maintenance crew to our culinary team to our managers and wait staff, we all work together to create a memorable event. And hosting only one wedding per day allows us to give our couples the dedicated attention they deserve. I look forward to continuing to work with our brides on all the details of their special day as we celebrate many more Red Jacket weddings in the seasons to come.”
The resort group’s main choice for weddings, the Red Jacket Beach Resort, is located on a scenic point in South Yarmouth. From one side, a wedding party has a view across the water to Nantucket. From the other, a lush grassy area spreads out wide and looks over beautiful marshes. In other words, from sunrise to sunset, there’s the perfect spot for photos (so vital to a wedding), and for guests to say “ahh.” Guests often choose a beach ceremony and cocktail hour outside, and then move into the Wheelhouse Ballroom, or under the Ocean Front Pavilion, a tented area.
From the first day they consider the resort, a couple is assigned a dedicated person for their wedding from start to finish. That kind of attention and coordination, including making sure every minute of the day goes as planned, are what win accolades.
And hosting one wedding a day is rare for large and popular Cape resorts, but Red Jacket wants each bride and groom to have the singular attention of the entire resort on their day.
And then there’s Cape Cod, a place all ages can find what they love and where most folks share fond memories of visiting or wish to go.
