Try our easy recipe for a classic New England Thanksgiving treat – Nantucket Cranberry Upside Down Pie!

Nantucket Cranberry Pie Preheat Oven to 350*
Generously grease/butter deep dish glass pie plate.
Place in the bottom of the pie plate:
2 cups Cranberries (fresh, chopped)
½ cup Walnuts (chopped)
½ cup Sugar

Combine:
1 cup of flour
1 cup of sugar
3/4 cup (12 T) melted butter
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract

Pour mixture into the pie plate on top of cranberry-walnut mixture and spread evenly.

Bake at 350* for approximately 35 minutes or until cake is baked evenly.
After removing from oven, use a butter knife to go around the edge of the pie plate to pull cake away from the side. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Place a cake plate over the pie plate and VERY CAREFULLY flip the pie over. Serve as a breakfast coffee cake or dessert.
